IterationsItérationsIteraties

Iterations is a travelling exhibition and residency, each time made up of a new group of artists creating a collective media work. As a starting point for their work they take the artwork that is made in the previous edition of Iterations, by a different group of artists. This leads to a chain of ’iterating’ artworks that aim to formulate a visual answer to the question in what ways artists collaborate in a technological era. The project was initiated by Constant and esc medien kunst labor. A first Iterations took place in 2015 in the exhibition space of esc in Graz, Austria, followed by a second edition in 2016 at iMAL in Brussels. Afterwards, Hangar in Barcelona and Dyne.org in Amsterdam joined the group. Between 2017 and 2020 a new series of iterations took place in Sicily, Barcelona, Graz and Brussels.
